The Ro Hotel

We had an amazing time during our stay from Wednesday to Friday in June. The hotel is beautiful and perfectly located. Upon arrival, Kara at reception greeted us with incredible kindness and helpfulness. A special thank you to Kara, who even helped me find a lost ring after I had already checked out on Friday. All the staff members were wonderful, and every interaction was pleasant. While I can't remember everyone's names, the entire team made our stay memorable, and we truly appreciated their help. Eduardo was wonderfully kind, and it was a real pleasure speaking with him. He even offered our husky, Marley, some extra doggy treats and delivered amazing service. There was also a lovely gentleman who traveled from Manchester to work there who was very nice and helpful. Thank you all so much! We absolutely loved all the staff and want to return to this hotel not only for the amazing views, wonderful rooms, and nice food and drinks, but also because of how welcoming and comfortable we felt. It's also a very dog-friendly place, which made our husky extremely happy! We will definitely be returning in the future. The staff are a credit to the hotel for making everyone feel so welcome. Lovely hotel very close to the centre of Bowness. Our room was lovely with a lake view. Clean, modern room which was a decent size and a nice bathroom with a good shower. Breakfast was buffet style and good quality and nicely cooked. Staff friendly and helpful.

Just spent a 2 night stay at The Ro Hotel. Staff at the hotel went above and beyond to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Many thanks to Persia and all the staff. Very friendly, polite and professional at all times and made every effort to meet our requests when asked. Plenty of staff on hand to help when needed. Excellent views of Lake Windermere from the hotel and great to spend time enjoying drinks on the outside patio areas when the sun was shining. We had an upgraded lakeside view room that was very spacious, well appointed and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the room benefited from the addition of complimentary dressing gowns, slippers and in-room drinks to make our stay was more relaxing. Hotel is in an ideal location to enjoy the area without the need to drive once you are here. Central location close to the lake and all amenities. Would also recommend Windermere Canoe Kayak. Excellent 2 hour kayak experience well worth doing during your stay. Great Pizza’s at Base Pizza too!

Stayed for a night to celebrate our anniversary. Staff were nice and friendly. Room was lovely (maybe lampshades could be updated) and the bed was so comfy. Breakfast had a great variety to choose from including fruit, cereals, pastries and cooked.

We stayed for 2night , Lovely Hotel , Staff very friendly and helpful,Our room was amazing , Breakfast was good , plenty to choose from , But unfortunately my husbands meal was not good, it was fish and chips, the fish was overcooked and the chips looked and tasted like frozen, on the menu it said home cooked and was a bit much at £17 but apart from that we had an amazing stay .

Very friendly & comfortable hotel within 3/4 minute walk of Bowness On Windermere centre & 5/10 minute walk from Windermere Lake. Unfortunately the walk back from the centre is up a shortish but steep hill, hence location score

This is a review of the leisure facilities, which we used over a one month period while staying in the area (we didn't stay in the hotel itself). The pool and gym were just recently renovated and they've done such a good job. The pool is small but really lovely; there is also a hot tub (though no sauna). The relaxation room has fantastic views and they also have a little room with hair dryers and vanities where you can do your makeup or skincare (they even have some available for use). The best thing was how lovely all the staff are, especially the person I assume is the manager (a lady with glasses and brown hair). They were so friendly, and were especially kind to our children. They have struck the perfect balance of fancy facilities but down to earth service. Thank you so much to all the staff!

A lovely location in the heart of Windermere with bright, modern rooms full of amenities. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the bed was extremely comfortable. Unfortunately, a hyperactive towel rail in the ensuite ensured the room was locked at about 35 degrees and without air conditioning to rectify that, it was difficult to stay comfortable in the room. It's a shame because otherwise this is a lovely hotel.
